Fusion Solution joins hands with Suwan Farm, Kamphaeng Saen Agriculture, to develop Microsoft AI to identify plant diseases in corn fields.
Fusion Solution, in collaboration with the Corn and Sorghum Research Center (Suwan Farm), Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen Campus, went into the field to develop and test a prototype of Microsoft's AI system for identifying plant diseases from real field images. The aim is to enhance research and disease management in economic crops, particularly corn, to be accurate, fast, and use resources efficiently.
Project Highlights
- Collect plant leaf image data in real fields and label the data by plant disease experts.

Development methods
The team designed a research-based image capture and annotation process, then fed the data into Microsoft's AI workflow to train and test the model before connecting it to a prototype app where staff could take photos, perform a preliminary examination, and record results immediately on the spot.

Next step
